Real love has finally found us.
Real love has finally found us.
hello I hope you are doing well what are some shows you're currently enjoying?
tbh enjoyed gay books and movies more this year, shows have been kinda not it this year… after jack and rayane flopped the second they got together, it’s just been getting worse and worse but i guess there have been some gems here and there to be fair… hearstopper s2 was good, the lake s2 was funny but not as good as s1, be my favorite was actually a decent bl which didn’t follow the same tired formula of having main gay couple and side gay couple and other side couple with a lil sprinkle of random passive-aggressive behavior towards women… this one actually threw all of that away and became its own thing with an amazing female character so that was nice to see… bodies was actually decent and weirdly good show with a gay subplot…. but my favorite is for sure the new polish series on netflix absolute beginners which is apparently a controversial opinion to have since some americans people need to be told everything in text in order to understand some things told in visuals so i guess it’s not for everyone but for me it was the only 10/10 show of the year… oh and everything now was a slay as well, i’d say my second fav show of the year… tbh there have been like over 80 new shows/seasons released this year alone so it’s hard to keep up and find the good ones idk… as for shows which are airing week to week rn, i’d say there are zero i watch… un professore not giving simuel rn, bettys diagnose gay storyline kinda stale, that’s about it… i’m watching the old craig/john paul storyline from hollyoaks for the first time rn so that’s been fun… and i’m looking forward to mary & george (the trailer!!!!!!!), blutige anfänger s5 (i just know bruno and phillip gonna serve in this season since they lowkey got popular for a week or so during s4 and the showrunners know about it) and big boys s2
it's been confirmed recently that simone and manuel will be living under the same roof in the next season of un professore, i'm sort of happy about it because it means that they'll probably have more interactions than bruno and pol did in season 2 of merli - it'd be kind of hard for them to avoid each other.
gonna get Strangers with Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott, Unicorns with Ben Hardy, Femme with Nathan Stewart-Jarrett and George MacKay, Norwegian Dream, Stranizza d'amuri, Strange Way of Life with Ethan Hawke and Pedro Pascal, The Lost Boys, Lie with Me adapted from the best book of all time, Aristotle and Dante movie, Bonus Track co-written by Josh O’Connor, another Australian serve Sunflower and Red, White & Royal Blue all in a single year… gays are truly thriving rn
I'm so excited about of an age! I saw barracuda a couple years ago and Elias Anton's performance was brilliant, so I'm really looking forward to see him on screen again. Also, of couse I recognize Thom Green!! It doesn't seem like it's out yet in my country but hopefully it will be soon hahaha.
it’s out and i just saw it an i’m genuinely shocked because the cinematography, performances and soundtrack were all stellar… and also barracuda gay and dance academy gay really decided to maximise their joint slay by doing a movie together we really love it here
hello besties january is coming to an end so i’m just going to introduce you to all my gay tv discoveries of the month and all of you gonna sit and listen and like and reblog this… see how i didnt use ‘or’ between those words so you better do all of that otherwise you’re not getting anything out of me ever again remember that
1. Jack & Rayane on ‘Demain nous appartient’ - at this point everyone must know what’s up with this, it’s been trending on tiktok everybody’s living for them and you can watch their storyline translated on twitter @jackxrayane so get to it asap
2. Fred & Yuri on ‘Vai na fé’ - rivals to lovers? we’ll see… there’s this telenovela which has just started and multiple publications reported on gay storyline between them starting soon so we’re seated… oomfie is translating their storyline here on telegram go check it out
3. Antonis & Spyros on ‘Maestro’ - already promoted them here, greek gays, will show up on internation Netflix in February, if you can’t wait go to the comments of this video
4. Phillip & Bruno on ‘Blutige Anfänger’ - if you just watched their 10-minute cut on youtube and called it a day you’re an absolute loser IDGAF… important stuff was cut OUT… the whole season is so much fun to watch given out of the 5 main rookies, 2 of them are queer, and there are also other two main gay characters, if you can I really advise you to watch the whole season, it’s available for free on official ZDF site
5. Preston & Kai on ‘Waterloo Road’ - another slay, the show is fun, talks about important issues, if you liked Ackley Bridge and Cory/Naveed, you’re gonna enjoy it as well… this storyline in particular has been a surprise in a sense that being with a guy is not an issue for Preston, but he’s been dealing with something tough and it’s handled amazingly well, don’t want to spoil so be sure to check it out on BBC iPlayer (you can watch with VPN if you’re not in UK)
6. Harlan & Cyrus on ‘Wolf Pack’ - yeah the show has just started, yeah it’s created by Jeff Davis, but episode 1 was actually fun, it has Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jeff actually promised prominent gay representation… Harlan is a main character, he is part of the core four and Cyrus has yet to make an appearance, so we’ll see
7. Paddy & Eoin on ‘SAS Rogue Heroes’ - this was already a thing last summer I think, but I only discovered it now… heartbreaking story between those two and if you also want to see Jack O'Connell playing an amigiously gay soldier, there you go
8. Deivid & Kevin on ‘Rensga Hits!’ - this is also from last year but I’ve NEVER seen anyone talking about this gem and I’ve only found out about it recently… it’s such a serve, their scenes are equally passionate to the ones they show with straight couples just woah… I don’t want to spoil anything so I’m just going to say that the actors are kings and even kissed on a stage at an event irl yuuup
